With every holiday, comes a little history. Here’s a few snap shots on St. Patrick’s Day!
St. Patrick’s Day, originally an Irish holiday, has spread across the globe; however, St. Patrick himself was always somewhat of a mystery. His tales told was that he had banished the snakes from Ireland, but only in mythology. His true reason of being famous resides with his success in converting the Gaelic Irish to Christianity.
Now the bigger question: why a shamrock? The shamrock was used by St. Patrick to use as an example of the Holy Trinity – Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit. Thus the strong association and world-known icon of St. Patrick’s Day.
On March 17th, people around the world now celebrate with singing, dancing, and – of course – drinking. Having your own party for St. Patrick’s Day? We can provide iconic photo strips for themed event to your request. Feel free to see what we have available for you here!
